Arielle Silver, “Ms. Silver”

Math Specialist, Educational Therapist, Parent Coach, Founder

With nearly a decade of experience teaching middle school math at top private institutions across the country—most recently at The Hamlin School for Girls in San Francisco—Arielle has witnessed firsthand the deep connection between math confidence and a child’s overall happiness. She founded Girlmath to create a space where middle school girls not only build strong mathematical foundations but also find joy, inspiration, and empowerment in the subject.

Arielle holds a Master’s in Teaching from Brandeis University and a Psychology degree from Emory University, blending academic rigor with a deep understanding of child development. She continually integrates the latest research into her teaching, ensuring that every Girlmath student receives innovative, thoughtful, and engaging instruction.


Annika Bhasavanich, “Ms. Annika”

Executive Functioning Coach, Math Tutor & Enrichment Specialist

With a background in middle school teaching and executive function coaching, Annika Bhasavanich is dedicated to helping students build confidence, independence, and a love for learning. As a former Humanities teacher at the Millennium School in San Francisco and a trained JST coach, she specializes in supporting neurodiverse learners, equipping them with the tools to navigate challenges, develop strong problem-solving skills, and achieve their goals.

As a math tutor at Girlmath, Annika integrates executive functioning strategies into her instruction, helping students break down complex problems, manage frustration, and build the perseverance needed for mathematical success. She empowers students to develop strong conceptual understanding and self-trust, ensuring they see themselves as capable, resourceful mathematicians.


Daniel Ceja, “Mr. Ceja”

Math Tutor & Head of BroMath Dept.

Mr. Ceja is a dedicated and insightful educator with a deep commitment to student learning and success. With years of experience in math education, most recently at The Hamlin School, Mr. Ceja brings both warmth and expertise to planning enrichment sessions, making complex concepts accessible and engaging for his students. He values the power of individualized support to help students develop confidence in their mathematical thinking.

Mr. Ceja has a thoughtful approach to student learning, particularly in supporting students with diverse needs. He understands the nuances of effective math instruction and is committed to fostering a positive learning environment. Whether working with students one-on-one or in a small-group setting, he prioritizes both conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills, ensuring that his students are not just learning math but truly thinking mathematically.

Head of Cuteness & Snuggles 

Buddy might not know his times tables, but he does know how to make Girlmath feel like home. Whether he’s napping nearby while the girls work or offering a reassuring head tilt when someone gets stuck on a problem, he’s an essential part of the environment. His specialties include tail wags, emotional support, and being there for the girls—whether they need a study break or just a fluffy companion.
